Chilli Lemon Toasted Peanuts
These chilli lemon toasted peanuts are the perfect topping for salads, soups, stir fries, curries and more. Plus they’re so simple to make. Say helloooo to crunchy perfection!
Serves 2
¼ cup raw peanuts
1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
¼ to ½ teaspoon dried chilli flakes
sprinkle of ground chilli
1. Remove the skins from the peanuts by rubbing them in a clean tea towel, then roughly chop them with a knife or crush them with a mortar and pestle
2. Mix them together with the lemon juice and chilli in a bowl. You might like to add more chilli depending on your taste preference!
3. Heat a small pan over medium heat, then add the peanuts
4. Make sure you keep stirring them so that they don’t burn. After about 5 minutes they’ll start to turn golden brown and will smell delicious. Take them off the heat immediately to prevent burning. Enjoy!
