Christmas Hot (or Iced) Chocolate
This recipe brings all the Christmas festivities into a big cozy mug! Think tasty chocolate paired with Christmas spices and sweetness. What’s more is that it can either be made into a hot chocolate or iced chocolate depending on what you feel like. Enjoy!
Serves 1
1 tablespoon cacao or cocoa
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Pinch allspice
Pinch ginger
1 teaspoon malt extract or maple syrup (or other sweetener of choice - e.g. honey)
1 cup milk of choice
For hot chocolate
1. Add milk to a small saucepan over low to medium heat
2. Sir in the cacao or cocoa and all the spices. Keep stirring until everything is combined and the milk is heated through
3. Stir in the malt extract, maple syrup or sweetener of choice
4. Pour into your favourite Christmas mug. Enjoy!
For iced chocolate
1. Add everything to your blender. Throw in a handful of ice cubes too
2. Blend until everything is all combined
3. Pour into your favourite Christmas mug. Enjoy!
