Banana Granola
Delicious banana plus crunchy clusters – could there be a better match? This recipe requires just a few simple ingredients that are likely already hiding in your kitchen. Serve it with some milk, yoghurt, extra banana or berries and enjoy!
Serves 1
½ cup rolled oats
Half a banana, mashed
1 teaspoon chia seeds
Small handful of nuts and/or seeds – I love to use almonds and pepitas, but you could also try things like walnuts, brazil nuts or sunflower seeds
1. Preheat your oven to 160 degrees Celsius on a conventional setting
2. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl
3. Spread out on a lined baking tray and bake for about 10 to 15 minutes or until golden. Be sure to keep checking every few minutes as the mixture can burn quickly!
4. Allow to cool – this is when the granola will become deliciously crunchy
5. Serve and add any toppings you like – I love mine with extra sliced banana and almond milk. Enjoy!
