Salted Miso Hot Cocoa
Do you love curling up on the couch a warm mug of hot cocoa? Do you also love a little salty deliciousness? Well, do I have the answer for you! This salted miso hot cocoa is thick and oh so chocolatey with a hint of salt and a dash of umami. It's a cozy and soul warming drink that feels like a little bit of luxury with every sip! Enjoy!
Serves 1
2 squares Lindt dark chocolate (I used 90%)
1 heaped teaspoon cacao or cocoa powder
¼ teaspoon white miso paste
1 cup milk of choice (I used almond milk)
1-2 teaspoons maple syrup, rice malt syrup or honey (optional)
1. Add all ingredients to a small pot over medium heat
2. Stir continuously. Ensure you keep stirring, quite quickly, so everything blends well together (I find using a mini whisk or fork helps!). As it warms up, the dark chocolate will melt and everything will come together.
3. Pour into your favourite cozy mug, curl up on the couch and enjoy!
